The doktor yoga class formats
-
The doktor yoga Basic class is ideal for anyone who wants to start practicing yoga or who has only practiced yoga a few times. The exercise sequence is standardized and basic asanas (= yoga poses) are explained to make it easier to get started. But don't worry, you will definitely work up a sweat: our basic classes are also full of power and specifically train strength, flexibility, focus and relaxation.
Good to know: Pregnant women can participate in all Basic classes after attending the Pregnant Women's Yoga Workshop with Jazz (offered every 4-6 weeks).
-
Based on the Basic classes, Open classes offer more variation for slightly more advanced yogis. Basic asanas such as vinyasa and warrior poses are assumed and more advanced options are suggested.
Every doktor yoga Open class is a little different and is prepared with a lot of love by our teachers. Take the opportunity to try out advanced positions such as arm balances or inversions. But don't worry: this is of course not a must ;-)
-
The doktor yoga Sunrise Flow provides you with lots of energy in the morning and helps you start the day in a balanced way; our lunch class gives you the right energy booster at lunchtime! And our teachers give you different options so that you can choose the level of effort yourself. This makes our morning & lunch class suitable for yoga beginners as well as frequent practitioners.
-
End the day with a dose of yoga! Our after-work flows are based on a Vinyasa class, but give you more time at the end to calm down again. Look forward to a challenging flow followed by a longer "cool down" in Yin style. Afterwards you'll sleep like a baby, we promise!
-
Gentle yoga that focuses on flexibility and relaxation. Exercises are held longer so that you can sink deeper. We recommend comfortable and somewhat warmer clothing so that nothing pinches and you do not get cold.
-
The doktor yoga Master Class is an extra sophisticated Vinyasa Flow class in doktor yoga style. You can expect uplifting, dynamic flows as well as powerful sequences and extra time to practice inversions, arm balances and/or peak poses.
Please no beginners! :-)

An extended, flowing Vinyasa flow to arrive, let go, and recharge. In 1 hour and 45 minutes, we gently build up warmth, combine powerful sequences with conscious breathing, and allow the practice to have a calm and deep effect. The flow ends with a longer, relaxing final relaxation—perfect for consciously rounding off your Sunday and starting the new week feeling refreshed.
The class format is based on the doktor yoga Open classes and is thematically & peak pose oriented. Let's find more depth together: In our body. In our breathing. In our mind.
-
A compact, invigorating flow for anyone who is short on time but doesn't want to miss out on exercise. In 45 minutes, we flow through dynamic sequences, activate the whole body, and quickly find focus and presence through our breath. Efficient, powerful, and balancing—perfect for a short but effective yoga break.
-
Inside Flow combines breathing and movement with the beat of the music to create choreography tailored to a specific song.

Yoga & Calisthenics
Yoga meets Calisthenics. As part of our Open Format, we incorporate various exercises from the calisthenics scene. A perfect complement to your yoga practice!
Calisthenics refers to exercises in which you move rhythmically and use only your own body weight. A calisthenics workout is about combining endurance, strength and body control. We also use one or the other tool, try ourselves out and get a taste of the calisthenics world. Including muscle soreness guarantee ;)

Most of us probably know situations that were unpleasant for us and in which we didn't know exactly how to behave towards other people. In this lesson, Athanassios explains very simply and impressively what to do!
Athanassios is Greek, a professional martial artist (and "marketing maniac" :-) and the proud father of two daughters, who are now young ladies. Not least because of his two daughters, the topic of "self-defense" is very close to his heart!
The course is primarily aimed at women, but we don't send men away either ;-)
